Female Characters
There are eight female characters for you to play: Anna, Ellen, Kim, Linda, Lisa, Natasha, Pacifica (known as "Shannon" in Singles 1) and Red (known as "Andi" in Singles 1). Anna and Kim are new characters and the rest seem to have kept their characteristics from Singles 1. Since I have those figures handy, I'll provide them for the old characters, but I don't have much that's concrete on Anna or Kim. It looks like the character preferences also carried over from Singles 1, so I'll fill those in where I can. If you're offended by virtual nudity, head for GameFAQs to pick up essentially the same info from the FAQ on Singles 1 without pictures, of course.
In the information under each character you will find values assigned to certain personality characteristics. Unless the information for each character says otherwise, all characters have a default value of 5 (normal) for each characteristic. Those with high values gain a bonus (or penalty, depending on your perspective) of 5% per point over 5, to a maximum of 125% of normal. Those with low values lose 5% per point below 5, to a minimum of 80%.
EXTROVERTED: characters who have a high value for this will find their Friendship meters rising and falling faster than normal; characters with a low value will find it rising and falling slower than normal. Friendship activities affected by this characteristic include Small Talk, Gossip, Chat about Hobbies, talking on the phone, running, and swimming (up to 125% of normal); activities such as chatting on the computer, boxing, doing pushups, posing for photos, (receive up to 190% of normal); but solitary activities such as playing on the computer, playing the guitar, reading, and meditating receive as little as 30% of the normal boost.
PLAYFUL: characters who have a high value will find their Fun and Erotic meters rising and falling faster than normal; characters with a low value will find these rising and falling slower than normal. Activities such as teasing, playing the guitar, reading, telling jokes, chatting on the computer, painting, receiving gifts, talking on the phone, swimming, watching news, watching romantic movies, watching comedy, watching horror movies, taking pictures, romantic kissing, sex, kissing in bed, french kissing, snuggling, and flirting receive a bonus of up to 125% of normal. Activities such as board games, playing on the computer, boxing, dancing, watching action movies receive a bonus of up to 190% of normal. Characters with a low playfulness value receive less than normal satisfaction from these activities.
TIDINESS: characters with a high value will find that daily dirt decreases the "room" meter more than normal. Consequently, they will self-start cleaning activities more frequently and will go to work on time more frequently. Characters with a low value will seldom self-start cleaning activities and will frequently delay going to work (and coming back from work). Along with this value, characters also have a hidden MESSY value. The messier a chartacter is, the more dirt they will generate. Characters with a high tidiness value have a lower than normal need for Justice, and will have fewer blow-ups with other characters. Characters with a low tidiness value have a higher need for Justice and will have more frequent blowups with other characters. Activities affected by this characteristic include washing dishes, going to, watering the herb garden, feeding the fish, taking out the trash, doing hair, and cleaning.
FRIENDLINESS: characters with a high value will find their Romantic meters rising and falling faster than normal; characters with a low value will find their Romantic meters rising and falling slower than normal. Activities affected by friendliness include, kissing (not in bed), holding hands, snuggling, romantic talk, compliments, saying "I Love You", and watering the herb garden. Characters with a low friendliness value will actually gain up to 190% of normal fun when boxing.
NEUROTIC: characters with a high value will find that their Energy and Hygeine meters fall faster than normal (resulting in more naps and trips to the bathroom) ; characters with a low value will find these meters falling slower than normal. The Energy meter will fall 1% faster for each point over 5 or 1% slower for each point less than 5.The Hygine meter works at the usual 5% increments. You will also find that as you establish routines for each of your characters, those with a high value will stick to their schedules much better than those with a low value. Characters with a high neurotic value gain bonuses with activities such as washing hands, and drinking coffee. They have penalties for calling for pizza, posing for photos, and swimming.
| Anna | ||

| Anna is a young, intelligent, outgoing person. She is very active and spontaneous and works as a journalist for a music magazine. In her job she works very hard, gets to know many people and always has to be up to date regarding trends in fashion or music, but at home she is very relaxed and enjoys good food as well as a romantic candlelight dinner. | ||
In story mode, Anna is pretty close to a total slob. In free-play mode, she's above average in tidiness. Given a choice of "Fun" activities, she typically prefers to read. On television, she loves the Romantic Channel, but hates Horror films. Anna's vice (if turned on) is Dancing. Her hobbies are Reading Novels, and Painting. |
||
| Ellen | ||
|---|---|---|
| ![]() |
![]() |
| Ellen is heavily into technology and science, which doesn't prevent her from exuding an air of parely tamed passion. Intelligent, clever and sexy, Ellen is a very special lady and could be the woman of your dreams. | ||
Ellen is the pretty much the female equivalent of Simon, except that she's more friendly. She prefers to read and almost loathes board games. On television, she prefers to watch the News channel and hates Horror films. She loves to talk about hobbies, but hates Gossip. She is compulsively neat and the most serious of the female characters. Relationships are going to be hard to get started and keep going because she doesn't get the same "bang for the buck" from Friendship, Erotic, Romantic or Fun acitivites. From a neatness standpoint, she would do best if paired up with Mark and Lisa. Ellen has no hobbies, but her vices are watching news and chatting on the computer. |

| Kim | ||

| Kim is an Asian girlie, very outgoing, crazy and sometimes a little naive. She is studying East Asian culture to learn more about her roots, which are still a bit of a mystery to her. Aged 20, she falls in love with men pretty easily. Knowing that makes it easy to impress her with small presents. | ||
Kim is a slob. Watch out for Justice issues if you pair her up with a "neatnik" like Ellen unless you force her to do her fair share of the chores. She likes to watch the comedy channel and dance, but hates the News channel. If turned on, Kim's vices are talking on the phone and watching the comedy channel. EXTROVERTED: 9 (gets more from any activity involving another person) PLAYFUL: 8 (gets more from almost any "fun" activity) TIDINESS: 2 (she's a slob) FRIENDLINESS: 6 NEUROTIC: 1 |

| Linda | ||

| Linda is a hip urban girl and a creative genius. She never buys an outfit off the shelf and she sould love to conquer the whole world with her wacky ideas. An art student or fashion designer, a florist of a musician - such are the choices for her professional life. | ||
LInda is probably the most outgoing of the female characters, but is very messy. She won't clean much of anything unless you force her to do it. She likes to watch Horror films and hates comedy (but she'll turn on that channel constantly if you don't watch what she's doing - for such a fun-loving character, she certainly like to make herself miserable). She loves to Gossip, but hates to Small Talk. Her vice (if turned on) is dancing. Her hobbies are telling jokes and tickling. EXTROVERTEDNESS: 9 (she gets the most "bang" from activities with others and the least from solo stuff) PLAYFUL: 8 (she gets more than normal boosts from "fun" activities) TIDINESS: 2 (OK, so she's a slob; but she's a good-looking slob) FRIENDLYNESS: 7 NEUROTIC: 8 (watch out for blow-ups) |

| Lisa | ||

| Lisa is a great sport always ready for a party or a session playing computer games. She's the 'girl next door', a great best friend. She works as a photographer although life's not about her job. | ||
Lisa loves to tell jokes and play board games. She loves the comedy channel and hates horror films. She loves to talk small talk, but hates gossip. She's very tidy (not quite as bad as Ellen, but close), but should get along well with just about anyone. Lisa's vices are playing board games, reading novels and talking on the phone. Her hobby is telling jokes. EXTROVERTED: 8 PLAYFUL: 8 TIDINESS: 8 FRIENDLINESS: 8 NEUROTIC: 3 |

| Natasha | ||
|---|---|---|
| ![]() |
![]() |
| Natasha adores diamonds, platinum and fast cars. Enigmatic and seductive, she twirls men around her little finger. All of them. All of the time. Secretive about her work, Natasha has the air of someone who works for the government. Nobody knows her real identity. | ||
Leave aside any impressions you might have of Natashs from story-mode. She is a wonderful character to play with. She loves to chat and hates to talk about hobbies. Because of her high Neurotic level, she's addicted to baths and hand-washing. She loves the Romance channel and hates news. She's not compulsively neat, but is average in the tidiness department. Natasha's vice is taking baths (goes with being neurotic, I guess). Her hobbies are boxing and sunbathing (couldn't tell from her complexion). |
||
| Pacifica (formerly known as Shannon) | ||
|---|---|---|
| ![]() |
![]() |
| Pacifica doesn't care for men really. She doesn't mind them, but she's not too keen on them either. Most men are no match for her anyway - being a professional sportwoman, she has hardly got started by the time most blokes are already panting for breath. And anyway, a woman knows best about a woman's needs. Well she does, doesn't she? | ||
Pacifica was the lesbian character in Singles 1. Since in "Pink mode" she could only be paired up with another female, I don't know how well she played with any of the male characters, but she did decently enough with all of the female ones. She is still a lesbian in Singles 2. This does not mean that guys can't hit it off with her, but it does mean that they will have a harder time than a female character would. She likes action moves and hates the comedy channel; and loves to talk about hobbies and hates to gossip. She's not terribly tidy, but not as bad as some. Pacifica doesn't have any hobbies, but she has lots of vices: talking on the phone, bathing, watching action movies and boxing. EXTROVERTED: 7 PLAYFUL: 4 TIDINESS: 3 FRIENDLINESS: 2 NEUROTIC: 3 |
||
| Red (formerly known as Andi) | ||
|---|---|---|
|
| ||
| Conservationist, champion of the down-and-out, she is the macho man's worst nightmare - Red is forever fighting for just causes. She never backs down before a battle is won (and then the next one is already lined up). | ||
Red will have the most fun watching Action movies and hates the Romance channel. In conversation she likes to chat about hobbies and dislikes small talk. She is second only to Ellen as far as being the least playful character and is about average when it comes to tidiness. In spite of the short hairdo and anti-macho attitude, Red is quite straight. Her vices are boxing and playing the guitar. Her hobbies are swimming and gossiping. EXTROVERTED: 8 PLAYFUL: 3 TIDINESS: 5 FRIENDLINESS: 1 NEUROTIC: 2 |

A character who did not make it to the release version of the game is Miriam, apparently a nurse: A good listener and warm companion, Miriam is someone everybody likes to have around. She's altruistic and always puts other people's needs before her own. Her ideal job would be nursing.
